Of all of the art fairs during the Armory Week in NYC, Independent seems like an outsider — an invitational art fair devised by and for gallerists, which re- examines traditional methods of presenting, viewing, and experiencing contemporary art. The selected participants represent the art world’s most creative curatorial talent from 50 cities worldwide. Hosted at creative agency Spring Studios’ spectacular SoHo showroom – where I headed to capture my favorites.

Traditionally, the show is located at Spring Studios in SoHo
The spaces divided between galleries allow each exhibitor to create their own visual story (including backdrops and color palette)
Liz-N-Val, New York’s legendary artist duo. They have been a working team for over thirty years inventing numerous conceptual museums and the concept of Signature Art
