Inside Pop Chart Lab

The vast building, unbeknownst to many New Yorkers, — Greenpoint Manufacturing & Design Center — is hosting a multitude of creative studios and craftsmen. Today, I’m here to see one particularly fascinating place — Pop Chart Lab, whose design research has brought to public attention some mind-expanding poster collections including a Visual Compendium of Cameras and The Compedious Coffee Chart. Since 2010, Pop Chart Lab has strived to arrange massive amounts of cultural data into meaningful works of art and information. I’m here to peek at how it works.
