Housed in a former factory in Brooklyn, with 35 light-filled work studios, two galleries, and a project space, The International Studio & Curatorial Program is New York’s most comprehensive international visual arts residency program, founded in 1994. Every year, artists from all over the world get a chance to take on a project and strengthen their skills. On a recent Tuesday, I stopped by to capture artists in their studios at the annual open house.
How to apply for a residence – Artists and curators from anywhere in the world, including the United States, can apply for International Program residencies at ISCP. – Residencies range 3—12 months. – Each artist is provided with 24-hour access to their studio, and free wireless internet. – Sponsors often give a stipend for accommodation, living expenses, travel and materials.
