Founded in 1977, the Mattress Factory is a contemporary art museum and experimental lab in Pittsburgh, PA featuring site-specific installations created by artists in residence from around the world. The pinnacle of Pittsburgh art scene, it provides a refined look at the local art culture.

“Sculpting Gravity” assembles works by artist Allan Wexler that explore the daily irritants caused by gravitational pull, the irregularity of the natural world, and how the built environment an act as a method of levitation.
