After years as a Sunday destination for antiques, vintage clothing, and salvage goods, Bridgeport’s Mongers Market permanently closed in summer 2025, ending an eight-year run that had hosted dozens of vendors in a massive warehouse on Railroad Avenue. In response, many former sellers and local organizers quickly worked to preserve the community the market had built, leading to the creation of The Recollective, a new multi-vendor marketplace less than a mile away on State Street that opened in a former Connecticut Post printing plant.
