At Stak Ceramics, Your Smart Devices Get A Touch of Craft

As phones and tablets take their natural place in our everyday lives, more and more designers and companies are  creating tools and accessories to make them more approachable at home. This is what Heather & Myles of Stak Ceramics decided to do out of their Pittsburgh studio: drawing inspiration everyday life, they’ve created a collection of hand-crafted home ceramic pieces for your devices. In my last visit to Pittsburgh, I stopped by at their studio at 7800 Susquehanna St., a booming hub for small creative businesses.

One of the reasons for doing business in Pittsburgh is the attractive rents — this large airy studio goes for a fraction of what it would cost in New York City
