This weekend, one of my favorite lifestyle stores, Muji, opened its first locataion in Brooklyn. A massive 7,300 square ft. store on the corner of Wythe and North 5 St. offers all that the Japanese minimalistic brand has to offer including my favorite perfect-fit cotton shirts, refill pens, storage boxes, and (of course) blank A4 notebooks. I couldn’t miss to be one of the first people to tour the store and catch up with Muji’s president about his plans.

Muji Kettle designed by Naoto Fukasawa is one of my favorite appliances in the store — an embodiment of pure simplicity
Exclusive for the Williamsburg opening, Muji designed stamps and a tote bag

An obsessive mind like mine would find delight in the military order of the visual display

Muji’s aroma diffusers are one the company’s signature products. My favorite is the lemongrass oil

Right at the store you can have your handkerchief or shirt embroidered with one of 300 different designs
