It’s easy to fall into the well of news and circle around the same things over and over and it gets fatiguing too. I feel that skipping on those daily strolls in the city is already taking a toll on my mind. Here are a few new podcasts I’m tunning into at this time to escape the daily madness.
1. Over the Road
Over the Road is an eight-part series that gives voice to the trials and triumphs of America’s long haul truckers. Host “Long Haul Paul” Marhoefer, a musician, storyteller and trucker for nearly 40 years, takes you behind the wheel to explore a devoted community and a world that’s changing amidst new technologies and regulations.

2. Get Sleepy
Get Sleepy is a twice-weekly story-telling podcast with the goal of helping you get a great night’s rest. The soothing stories combine relaxing music, mindfulness techniques, and ASMR triggers to help you relax and fall asleep fast.
3. Marlon and Jake Read Dead People
A podcast hosted by the Man Booker Prize-winning and internationally bestselling author Marlon James and his editor, Jake Morrissey, Executive Editor at Riverhead Books. In each episode, Marlon and Jake talk about authors—specifically dead authors. Authors they like. Authors they hate. Great books, terrible books, and books they love that you’d never expect them to.
4. The Happiness Lab with Dr. Laurie Santos
Yale professor Dr. Laurie Santos has studied the science of happiness and found that many of us do the exact opposite of what will truly make our lives better. Based on the psychology course she teaches at Yale, Laurie will take you through the latest scientific research and share some surprising and inspiring stories that will change the way you think about happiness.
