A Rare 1940s Book Celebrating Fashion Trade of New York City

Most New Yorkers are familiar with the legendary world’s fairs of 1939 and 1964, but who remembers the New York City Golden Jubilee of 1948? The summer-long celebration was to commemorate the uniting of all 5 boroughs into New York City 50 years prior. As part of the celebration, an official book was released focusing on the developing of the fashion industry in the city from 1898 to 1948.
