At Tröegs Brewery in Hershey, PA Beer is Just an Experiment

On my recent trip through Pennsylvania, I stopped by at Tröegs Independent Brewing, whose beers I have been extensively enjoying for years now but haven’t had the chance to visit their home base in Hershey, PA.

The brewery opened in 1996 but it got it’s modern look, logo and labels in 2015 in collaboration with Philadelphia-based designer Lindsey Tweed
The brewery is open for drinks and tours all week, 11 am to 9 pm
The massive steel tanks holding the latest brews located together in the tap room
A store where you can get your quick cans and bottles as well as Tröegs merch
Every beer deserves a special glass
A limited run of ales brewed in bourbon and oak barrels
A map where visitors can pin where they are from
The brewery also produces “Scratch” beers, an experimental series focusing on new techniques and non-traditional ingredients – those are available on tap only but could be canned in growlers to-go
