In the Summer of 1996, Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein (Germany) set up an ambitious exhibition that presented 100 of the most important chairs and seating furniture from the museum’s collection. Together with the exhibition, Vitra released a beautiful and comprehensive catalog of the exhibited pieces with each spread featuring a large photo of the piece and a visual back story behind it. The exhibition turned out successful and toured Europe, US, Israel, and Japan through 2000.
