One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday is to take a day trip to some of my favorite antique destinations West of New York City. A day trip allows me to recharge from a busy week in the city and allows me to discover something new and inspiring. This week, to help me get around, I was lucky to test drive the new Mitsubishi Outlander.



11 am: Lunch
When I have no time to grab a bite on the way out of the city, I usually stop by at Vince Lombardi Rest Stop for a quick bite from Pret-a-Manger



12 pm: Andover Antiques Village
The first stop on my journey is Andover Antiques Village in Andover, NJ. It’s a lovely small village, filled with antique shops and outdoor shops.













2 pm: Lafayette Mills Outdoor Vintage Market
I headed deeper into New Jersey to Lafayette, home of Lafayette Mills Antiques. This Memorial Day in addition to the main building, dozens of vendors set up temporary displays outdoors for the Outdoor Vintage Market.










4 pm: A Visit to a Farm
Searching for good antiques is great fun but it does take quite a bit of energy. To fill up I drove to The Marketplace at Wesselhof Farms, a quaint farm / grocery store and restaurant with beautiful views.



5 pm: Hike in the Park
At the end of the day I like to take a breather and find a park to hike nearby. I was pleasantly delighted to bump into Sparta Glen Park, just South of Lafayette. There, a few peaceful hiking trails, a strea
