I’ve probably flipped through a hundred books focusing in different aspects of mid century furniture and interior design. Each focused on either overall style of the period or particular aspects of design direction. None of the books, though, captured the breadth of mid century furniture like this 1982 edition of Contemporary Furniture by Klaus-Jurgen Sembach. Written in both German and English, the book presents a wide array of furniture pieces with almost librarian precision – organized by type.
