Art book fairs are my favorite places to discover new independent publishers and unique photo books. The NY Art Book Fair hosted by Printed Matter at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City — is the largest of its kind. This year marks 20 years since its launch, bringing together around 310 exhibitors, including small presses, self-publishing artists, rare book dealers, museums and distributors.
The show transforms the museum into a multi-floor maze of galleries and hallways. Be prepared to line up, as entry to some spaces is capacity-controlled.
