MARO is a Portuguese singer and songwriter that represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy with the song “Saudade, saudade”. She initially planned to become a veterinarian, but instead chose to pursue a musical career, studying at Berklee College of Music and moving to Los Angeles. She has collaborated with Jacob Collier and has a presence on YouTube, where she posted videos of herself singing with artists such has Rosa Passos, Eric Clapton, Mayra Andrade, Salvador Sobral and other artists.
